Job Title: Staff Development Coordinator Department: Nursing Reports to:

Director of Nursing General Purpose: Organizes, directs, and oversees the education and training of the facility staff in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks, normally four weeks in advance.
• Ensures timely Certified Nurse Aide (CNAs, SRNAs) and Nurse assignments to meet needs of new admissions as well as existing residents
• Maintains schedule on a daily basis of any staffing changes or resident status changes and communicates accordingly

This position provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, medication administration (per scope of practice and facility policy), and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for all residents. Responsible for providing care and handling residents in a safe and compassionate manner.
